The Missouri House of Representatives passed a bill on Wednesday that would limit the ability of judges to rewrite ballot summaries.
Under the legislation, the secretary of state would have three chances to revise ballot summaries found to be insufficient or unfair before a judge takes over.
The bill now heads to the Missouri Senate.
