Missouri Bar gives Springfield attorney annual award

The Missouri Bar presented Springfield attorney Rick Van Pelt with its annual Roger P. Krumm Family Law Practice of the Year Award.

Presented during the bar’s 15th annual family law conference on Aug. 8 in Branson, the award recognizes the Van Pelt & Van Pelt PC owner for work advancing family law and the children and families involved in such cases, according to a news release.

Van Pelt & Van Pelt PC handles family law cases, including divorce, settlement negotiations, mediations, trials, paternity cases, prenuptial agreements and adoptions, according to VanPeltLaw.com.

Van Pelt, who has been practicing law since 1983, owns his firm with Kay Van Pelt.

Since 2001, Rick Van Pelt has been listed each year in the Best Lawyers in America – Family Law directory, according to BestLawyers.com.

During the Missouri Bar’s conference at Chateau on the Lake, over 250 lawyers attended to network and learn about family law.
