Missouri appeals court upholds Medicaid ballot initiative

A Missouri appeals court panel yesterday allowed the Medicaid expansion ballot initiative to continue.

Opponents have vowed to continue legally fighting the ballot measure, saying it forces the expenditure of state money in violation of the state constitution.

A three-judge panel of the Western District appellate court rejected those notions by conservative groups Americans for Prosperity-Missouri and United for Missouri.
