Minn. company recalls 1,200 pounds of beef over E. coli scare

A Minnesota food company recalled about 1,200 pounds of its ground beef products that may be contaminated with E. coli, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced on Saturday.

According to Beta Wired, Vadnais Heights, Minn.-based Ranchers Legacy Meat Co. is recalling various weights of cryovac-sealed packets of beef.

A routine ispection on Friday yieled a positive result for E. coli.

The recall covers 14 products produced Nov. 19.
