Minimum wage to rise in 13 states on Jan. 1

Posted online
Minimum-wage workers in 13 states and four cities are going to start 2014 with a bump in pay, albeit a modest one, reports CNNMoney.

The Economic Policy Institute estimates the wage increases will help more than 2.5 million low-wage workers. Missouri is among a handful of states expected to see a higher wage floor because of annual cost-of-living adjustments.
