MillerCoors unit acquires majority stake in Calif. craft brewery

Chicago-based MillerCoors unit Tenth and Blake acquired a majority interest in San Diego, Calif.-based Saint Archer Brewing Co. for an undisclosed amount.

According to the Chicago Business Journal, Saint Archer is one of the fastest growing craft breweries in California. It's popular among skateboarders, surfers and artists.

"We have always wanted to get great beer into more people's hands. We were fortunate that brewers big and small were interested in partnering with us, but Tenth and Blake was the clear choice. With Tenth and Blake's help, we hope to one day be a national brand," said  Josh Landan, Saint Archer co-founder and president, who will continue to lead the brewery.
