MillerCoors filed a lawsuit against Anheuser-Busch Cos. Inc., the St. Louis Business Journal reports.
The Chicago-based maker of Miller Lite and Coors Light alleges A-B ran a "false and misleading advertising campaign targeting Miller Lite and Coors Light in order to deceive beer consumers into believing that there is corn syrup and high-fructose corn syrup in Miller Lite and Coors Light to increase sales of Bud Light."
The suit alleges A-B capitalized on the fact consumers don't know the difference between regular corn syrup used by brewers and HFCS, which is for sweetening drinks.
