Millennials lost money to scams more often than their grandparents

Last year, millennials reported losing money to scams more than their grandparents did.

According to the Federal Trade Commission, 40 percent of Americans in their twenties reported fraud in 2017.

Conversely, 18 percent of U.S. consumers who are 70 or older reported they lost money to fraud schemes.
