Midwest health care firms raise $1B this year

Midwest health care businesses have raised over $1 billion in new equity investments so far this year.

The BioEnterprise Midwest Healthcare Growth Capital Report found $143 million of that total came from St. Louis.

The total includes a $69.5 million raise from Centene in February, used to buy a stake in a data analytics firm.
