Mid-West Family Broadcasting station extends Chiefs broadcast deal

Posted online

A Mid-West Family Broadcasting station in Springfield will continue to air live game broadcasts of the Kansas City Chiefs through an extended contract.

The station, 104.7 The Cave, has reached a new deal with the Chiefs Radio Network to broadcast games through the NFL's 2030 season, according to a news release. The radio station has hosted broadcasts since the 2016 NFL season.

The station's previous contract ended with the 2024 season, said Brian Tyndall, general manager of Mid-West Family. Declining to disclose financial terms of the extended deal, Tyndall said 104.7 The Cave has exclusive radio broadcast rights for the Springfield market.

Beyond live game broadcasts, 104.7 The Cave also provides daily team updates and other Chiefs content.

"This renewed agreement ensures that fans can continue to count on The Cave for every thrilling play, every big win, and every moment that defines the Chiefs experience – both on and off the field," station officials said in the release.
