Springfield-based Mid-Missouri Bank has multiple changes in the works in the Joplin area, including new construction and a closure.
Bank officials say the company's 3435 E. Seventh St. branch in Joplin is slated to shut down Nov. 20 "to better align with the changing traffic patterns" in the area, according to a news release. Its employees will be shifted to the company's three other area branches: one in Joplin and two in Webb City. Mid-Missouri Bank spokesperson Andrew Moore said the closing branch has been open since September 2003.
In Webb City, Mid-Missouri Bank is slated to replace its 1421 S. Madison St. branch with new construction. Moore said a contractor has not yet been selected for the project, which is still in the site planning stage. It's not yet known whether the current branch would be demolished prior to the start of the new construction, he said.
Additionally, Mid-Missouri Bank is working with Pinnacle Sign Group Inc. to install a new 30-foot tall outdoor digital advertising display next month at the company’s 2230 E. 32nd St. branch in Joplin. Moore declined to disclose the cost of the signage.
“This new marquee will help us better call out those MidMoBank customer advantages to the four-state public," said Andy Perigo, president of Mid-Missouri Bank's Joplin and Webb City markets, in the release. "The new sign on 32nd is just the beginning of the improvements for us in the next few years."
The company's plans in the Joplin and Webb City markets come as Mid-Missouri Bank is wrapping up its new headquarters at 1615 E. Independence St. in Springfield. The site, which also will have a branch, is 100 yards south of its current operations center.
