Springfield-based Mid-Missouri Bank announced yesterday that Eric McClure is the bank's new president and CEO. He will take the position Aug. 23.
McClure worked for 28 years at the Missouri Division of Finance before getting a pink slip January 2009 from Gov. Jay Nixon, who let go 150 state employees at the time, according to Springfield Business Journal coverage.
From February to June 2009, he worked as vice president of risk administration for Jefferson City-based Central Bancompany and has worked since July 2009 as president and CEO of Jefferson City-based Midwest Independent Bank, according to a Mid-Missouri Bank news release.
The release noted McClure's strong advocacy for community banking in his career.
"We are very happy and honored to have Mr. McClure join us," Mid-Missouri Chairman Lee Gilbert said in the release.[[In-content Ad]]
