Mid-Missouri Bank opened its doors at 7 a.m. March 19 at the intersection of Campbell Avenue and Plainview Road, the bank's first location in the Springfield market.
Bob Ward, president of Mid-Missouri Bank, said the Springfield branch of Mid-Missouri Bancshares, a Springfield-based bank holding company, is the company's fourth location.
"We have ... Tri-County Bank in El Dorado Springs, Polk County Bank in Bolivar and Laclede County Bank in Lebanon. Those are going to be all combined this summer under the name of Mid-Missouri Bank," Ward said.
He said Springfield's Mid-Missouri Bank has nine employees. Ward added that Mid-Missouri Bank will be a community bank that has a high emphasis on personal service.
"All the bankers here have several years of experience, and (it will be) a community-oriented independent bank with extraordinary personal service," he said.
Mid-Missouri Bank is a full-service bank, Ward said, with traditional banking products and automated teller machine access for its customers.
