Microsoft's insane holographic vision of the future

Microsoft introduced a new vision for the future that could potentially change the way users interact with technology.

The Windows Holographic is Microsoft’s new contribution to the industry and very well could change the personal computer industry.

According to CNNMoney, “with Windows Holographic, you see and interact with 3-D images all around you. You can pinch them, pull them, tap them, and flick them away. You can select a hologram just by looking at it, and you can walk around them in 3-D space.”

A special headset called the HoloLens is what users will wear to “touch” the holograms. The holographic HD lenses are similar in apperance to ski goggles. The HoloLens is a computer itself with a special chip that allows the holographic processing.

CNNMoney reports that in one scene displaying the new technology, it showed people being immersed in video games, performing software guided surgeries and collaborating with team members on the design of a new motorcycle.
