Microsoft: Users are safe from alleged NSA malware

Microsoft claims up-to-date users of its software are safe from alleged NSA spying tools dumped online.

Phillip Misner, the company's security manager, said the tech giant already has built defenses against nine of the 12 tools disclosed by TheShadowBrokers, a mysterious group that has repeatedly published NSA code.

The three other tools are said to affect older, unsupported products.
