Microsoft to cut 9,000 jobs

Microsoft on Wednesday announced plans to cut 9,000 jobs from its workforce.

That amounts to less than 4% of the company's global workforce, CNBC reports.

The latest cuts follow more than 6,000 layoffs in May and at least 300 more in June.
