Microsoft to buy Bethesda for $7.5B

Microsoft Corp. agreed to purchase video game publisher Bethesda Softworks for $7.5 billion.

The acquisition of Bethesda parent company ZeniMax Media Inc. would be the largest video game purchase in history.

Bethesda is the publisher of hit games including "The Elder Scrolls," "Fallout" and "Doom."
