Microsoft has reached a $14.4 million settlement with California's Civil Rights Department.
The settlement is related to claims that Microsoft allegedly discriminated and retaliated against women and disabled workers.
Employees who were impacted reportedly took protected leave, which is time off for pregnancy, disability, family care or parental reasons.
