Microsoft Corp. posted its earnings report on Wednesday, handily beating analysts' expectations.
The company's fiscal first quarter profits were $10.7 billion, or $1.38 per share. That's up from $1.14 per share a year earlier and ahead of the $1.25 analysts predicted.
Revenue was $33.1 billion, beating $29.1 billion a year ago. Analysts expected fiscal first quarter revenue would reach $32.2 billion.
