Microsoft makes move in bid for UK approval of $69B acquisition

Microsoft is restructuring its proposed $68.7 billion purchase of Activision Blizzard in an effort to appease U.K. regulators.

The company plans to transfer Activision Blizzard cloud gaming rights to Ubisoft, another video game business.

With the deal restructured, the regulatory investigation in the United Kingdom has been extended until Oct. 18.
