Microsoft reportedly entered a $20 million deal for carbon dioxide removal.
The company is buying up to 315,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide removal over the next 10 years through a process called carbon capture via California startup Heirloom.
Heirloom "harnesses the natural properties of limestone” to “capture CO2 pollution from the atmosphere and permanently store it in a range of ways, including in concrete,” according to a news release.
