Micron Technology to purchase remainder of Inotera

American memory chip-maker Micron Technology announced plans to buy out the remaining 67 percent of shares in Taiwan's Inotera Memories it doesn't already own.

Net of cash and debt, the deal is valued at $3.2 billion.

Boise, Idaho-based Micron already buys all of Inotera's computer memory chips known as dynamic random access memory.
