Handbag maker Michael Kors Holding Ltd. is close to finalizing a purchase agreement for Gianni Versace SpA, people familiar with the matter told Bloomberg.
The deal valuing Versace at $2 billion may be announced as early as this week.
Officials with Versace and Michael Kors either couldn't be reached or declined to speak with Bloomberg.
