The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District has broken ground on the first project funded by Proposition S.
The project is intended to reduce flooding in the Bevo Mill area. Crews are slated to built 150 feet of stormwater sewer pipe along Walsh Street.
The proposition increased property taxes for flooding and erosion projects.
