Metropolitan National picks up Peoples Bank exec

Posted online
Metropolitan National Bank recruited a former Peoples Bank and Bank of America executive with the hiring of Jamie Esch.

Esch, who most recently worked as senior vice president and chief lending officer for Peoples Bank, was hired as community bank president of the Metropolitan National's Branson/Tri-Lakes market, according to a June 26 news release.

"Their passion and dedication is contagious, which made my choice to join Metropolitan National Bank very easy," Esch said in the release. "I look forward to serving the communities of Kimberling City, Branson, Branson West, Blue Eye, Hollister and the others in and around the Tri-Lakes area.”

Esch moved to Springfield in late 2007 from Texas to take the market president position for Bank of America. He started in January 2013 at Peoples Bank, according to Springfield Business Journal archives.

A subsidiary of Marshfield Investment Co., Metropolitan National operates 12 branches in Springfield, Marshfield, Nixa, Lamar, Golden City, Branson West, Kimberling City, Blue Eye and Hollister, the release said.
