Metropolitan National names permanent CEO

Posted online
Mark McFatridge has been named the permanent president and CEO of Metropolitan National Bank.

McFatridge, who formerly worked as executive vice president and chief operating officer of Guaranty Bank, has served as interim president and CEO for Metropolitan since February.

“We feel that (McFatridge's) experience in the industry and his commitment to our community is the right combination to help Metropolitan National Bank reach its potential," said Randy Magers, chairman of the bank's board of directors, in a news release. "His leadership has already positively affected the culture and focus of our organization.”

McFatridge will work out of Metropolitan's headquarters, 600 S. Glenstone Ave.

He was appointed in the interim after the November exit of Sterling Huff, who had held the position since March 2010.

Prior to joining Guaranty Bank, McFatridge relocated to Springfield in 2006 to work as the area executive for Alabama-based Regions Bank’s Central/Southern Missouri Group. He also held the role of president and COO of OakStar Bank, according to Springfield Business Journal archives.

Metropolitan, a subsidiary of Marshfield Investment Co., has 12 branches in Springfield, Marshfield, Nixa, Lamar, Golden City, Branson West, Kimberling City, Blue Eye and Hollister, the release said.
