Metropolitan National Bank to open new Golden City branch

Posted online
Metropolitan National Bank’s Golden City employees are prepared to move next week into a newly constructed branch, the company announced.

Slated to open Feb. 17, the 1,900-square-foot facility at 403 Main St. in the city 60 miles northwest of Springfield replaces the company’s current 523 Main St. branch in Golden City. In August, the Springfield bank purchased vacant land for the new branch for an undisclosed amount and sold its current land to the city in a lease-back agreement until the relocation, according to Springfield Business Journal archives.

Federal Construction - Federal Protection Inc.’s sister company - served as general contractor for the project.

A subsidiary of Marshfield Investment Co., Metropolitan National operates 12 branches. Its six employees in Golden City focus largely on rural agricultural loans.[[In-content Ad]]
