Southwest Builders Inc. is the general contractor for this Metropolitan National Bank for owner/developer Randy Magers of Magers Management Co. Magers said he will lease the facility to the bank. Slone Architects Inc. designed the 3,925-square-foot structure. Engineers are Pat Crocker of Crocker Consulting Engineers, mechanical, electrical and plumbing; and Wells & Scaletty LLC, structural. Interior design is by Buxton Kubik Dodd Inc. The single-story bank will have a lobby, drive-through lanes and an exterior automated teller machine. According to the building permit filed with the city of Springfield, the estimated construction cost is $700,000. “It’s got a round, clear-story lobby. The exterior’s going to have a lot of blue glass in it and metal panels,” said Jeff Julich, owner of Southwest Builders. Completion is set for May.
