The Mercy health system reached a deal to sell its outreach laboratory services business to New Jersey-based Quest Diagnostics.
The outreach lab services are used by doctors outside of Mercy’s hospitals. The company's hospital labs for inpatient and hospital-based outpatient services will continue to be owned and operated by Mercy.
The financial terms of the deal, expected to close in the second quarter, were undisclosed.
