Mercy cuts affect 126 in St. Louis region

Mercy told the St. Louis Business Journal that 126 of the 347 systemwide job cuts the health system is making are from the eastern Missouri region.

According to the report, displaced workers are receiving outplacement services and a severance package including compensation and benefits based on their position and length of service.

Mercy Springfield Communities yesterday announced it eliminated 127 jobs.
