Mercedes-Benz is seeking to transition its vehicles to all electric by 2023, with a caveat.
Company officials said it would only sell electric vehicles “where market conditions allow," implying gas-powered vehicles may still be sold in countries that lack consumer demand for EVs.
Other major automakers have included similar caveats, The Verge reports.
