Melinda French Gates leaving Gates Foundation

Philanthropist Melinda French Gates is leaving the Gates Foundation.

Gates announced she would resign as co-chair of the foundation she founded with ex-husband Bill Gates.

Melinda French Gates said she would separately focus on philanthropic work involving women and families.
