A Medicare trust fund that pays for older Americans’ hospital bills will become insolvent three years sooner than expected, according to an annual government report.
The report issued by the Trump administration trustees who oversee Medicare and Social Security found the trust fund will be depleted by 2026.
The report also found Social Security would remain solvent until 2034, which is unchanged from a year ago.
