Consulting firm McKinsey & Co. reached a $573 million opioid settlement, people familiar with the matter told The Wall Street Journal.
The settlement, which is expected to be announced publicly today, was reached over McKinsey's work advising OxyContin maker Purdue Pharma and other drug manufacturers in marketing opioid painkillers.
The settlement was reached with 47 states and Washington, D.C.
