The general contractor on this renovation-and-addition project is MECO Systems Inc., and the architect is Butler, Rosenbury & Partners. Scheduled for completion in November, this 51,339-square-foot project is worth an estimated $4.5 million. |ret||ret||tab|

The existing multipurpose room and the media center at the school will be completely renovated. |ret||ret||tab|

The addition will consist of 18 classrooms, three special education rooms, three reading instruction rooms, a recreation room, a music room, an art room and support areas. As a result of the project, the entire school will be air-conditioned. |ret||ret||tab|

Included in the project is a community area for outreach programs. According to Butler, Rosenbury & Partners, the planning and character of the "new" 450-student school, inside and out, "is intended to energize and support children, teachers and families in a community learning environment."[[In-content Ad]]
