McDonald's is joining the meatless burger party and plans to intoriduce the "McPlant" next year.
The fast-food chain last year began testing a plant-based patty with Beyond Meat in Ontario, Canada.
McDonald's officials also announced a new chicken sandwich coming next year that will be served on a potato roll.
