McDonald’s announced plans to sell packaged coffee nationally, similar to Starbucks or Dunkin’ Donuts, according to the Associated Press.
McDonald's will be partnering with Kraft Foods for manufacturing and packaging.
Bags of ground and whole bean McCafe coffee are expected to appear on supermarket shelves by early next year. The coffee also will be available in single-cup pods, according to the Associated Press.
The AP reports that McDonald’s has highlighted coffee as a key growth area for the company in the past.
