McDonald’s of the Ozarks seeks to hire up to 500 new employees this week at 63 restaurants in southwest Missouri and northern Arkansas, according to news release issued by the company.
Spokeswoman Kristen Bergman said part- and full-time postings are available for entry-level crew members up to management level positions. She said some are related to the company’s new in-lobby Create Your Taste kiosks, which allow customers to order, customize and pay for made-to-order menu items served tableside.
“It takes about 8 to 10 minutes to make the burger because everything down to the fries is made specific for your order,” Bergman said, adding restaurants offering Create Your Taste will hire employees to newly created positions as concierges to walk customers through the ordering process. “It’s a real customization experience for the guests.”
Bergman said the Ozarks region is one of four national test markets for Create Your Taste technology, and she estimates 75 percent of the region’s locations will offer the service by September. In the Springfield area, Create Your Taste will first become available Thursday in the 401 N. 21st St. restaurant in Ozark.
Two McDonald’s eateries at 3510 W. Chestnut Expressway and 2512 E. Sunshine St. in Springfield will launch the new service toward the end of the month, with the restaurant at 2811 N. Kansas Expressway following, Bergman said.[[In-content Ad]]
