McDonald's, which has taken heat for staying silent on Russia's invasion of Ukraine, announced a decision nearly two weeks after the conflict began.
The fast-food chain plans to temporarily close 850 locations in Russia.
The company's 62,000 Russian employees will continue to be paid, and Ronald McDonald House Charities will continue to operate in the country, officials said.
