McDonald's simplifies menu

McDonald's is simplifying its menu by ditching its so-called signature-crafted burgers.

The fast-food giant is removing its bacon smokehouse burger and mushroom and Swiss burger, introduced in 2017 in an attempt to bring in customers looking for premium ingredients.

In their place, McDonald's is adding a quarter-pounder deluxe and a quarter-pounder with bacon. Company officials say fresh beef will be used in the products.
