McDonald’s is committing $100 million for marketing and franchisee support in the wake of the E. coli outbreak that impacted the company and its customers.
Of the funds, $65 million will support franchisees who have lost business. The other $35 million will go toward marketing and advertisements.
The E. coli outbreak last month was linked to McDonald’s Quarter Pounders, with the source traced to slivered onions from a Taylor Farms facility in Colorado.
