McDonald's CEO Steve Easterbrook had a great 2016 in terms of compensation.
His total pay nearly doubled to $15.4 million during his second full year on the job.
Easterbrook has been credited with new initiatives including all-day breakfast and a renewed emphasis on food quality and taste.
However, his work is cut out for him. Last month, the company announced it lost 500 million U.S. customer transactions since 2012. That's when McDonald's started phasing out its Dollar Menu.
