MD Commercial Properties LLC’s Kim and Nancy Haase are building a new McDonald’s restaurant, which will be leased to McDonald’s franchisee Dan Blumenstock. Blumenstock also owns the McDonald’s at 3510 W. Chestnut Expressway, as well as locations in Republic, Aurora, Mount Vernon and Bolivar. Developer Kim Haase said McDonald’s will occupy 2,500 square feet of the 5,000-square-foot building. The other half, which will have the address of 652 Hunt Road, will house a convenience center.

The architect is Jim Scott of Scott Architecture Inc. HBH Engineers LLC is the engineer. Guaranty Bank financed the project, which has an estimated cost of $1 million, including land. Completion is slated for late December.

Haase, who retired from home building three years ago, said that this project will likely be his last commercial development.
