McCaskill plans #ShopFerguson campaign to help area businesses

While chats of "no justice, no peace" still ring through the St. Louis suburb of Ferguson each night, nearly two weeks after he death of Mike Brown, at least some residents are starting to pick up the pieces.

And Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., wants to help.

McCaskill has notably been more involved in the situation than counterpart Sen. Roy Blunt, R-Mo., and is now looking to help get business back on its feet, according to the Washington Post.

The St. Louis Business Journal reports #ShopFerguson is part of her plan to combat the area's unrest on Ferguson business though a social media campaign meant to highlight how people are supporting Ferguson. McCaskill's team also is documenting her moves around area small businesses and what she's learned about how they are affected by the unrest.
