Mayse Automotive Group is also leasing the 4-acre lot from the Vincel family, though General Manager Matt Mayse wouldn’t disclose lease details.
Mayse Automotive Group doesn’t plan to immediately carry anything other than Infiniti automobiles at the East Sunshine Street lot. It also has no plans to expand the footprint of the dealership or raze or build any buildings there, according to Mayse.
The formerly adjacent Vincel Buick dealership was sold in January 2006 to Thompson Pontiac-GMC-Cadillac-Saab, 1555 E. Independence St.
Mayse Automotive Group, owned by Rick Mayse, has operated a new and used car dealership in Aurora since 1989, selling more than 1,100 Chevrolet, Buick, Pontiac and GMC automobiles in 2005, according to Springfield Business Journal research published in August 2006. In 2003, the group opened a lot in Parsons, Kan.
