Mattress Firm Inc. is preparing to file for bankruptcy as early as this week, according to media reports.
With more than 3,000 stores in 49 states, Mattress Firm is the nation's largest mattress retailer.
South Africa-based Steinhoff International Holdings NV bought Mattress Firm in 2016 for $3.8 billion.
