Mattel makes interim CEO permanent

Mattel on Thursday said it is taking the interim tag off chief executive Christopher Sinclair's title and tasking the 64-year old with the job of turning around one of the world's biggest toy companies.

Serving in the interim since January, Sinclair took over after the abrupt resignation of Bryan Stockton, according to FT.com.

Last year, Mattel - best known for its Fisher-Price and Barbie brands - was eclipsed by Lego as the world's biggest toymaker.
