Located at Kearney and Westgate Avenue, this project for the city of Springfield, City Utilities, the Cham-ber of Commerce and its subsidiary, the Springfield Business & Develop-ment Corp. is the first phase of a new public/private industrial park development.
Fred Mathews is the project engineer, and D&E Plumbing is the contractor for the estimated $2 million first phase, which has a completion date of May 2002. The estimated cost at build-out is around $6 million.
PIC West is intended to create high-paying manufacturing jobs for the region. MAI is providing the engineering and surveying services necessary for completion of the infrastructure. Services will include the design of stormwater systems, streets, sanitary sewers, site preparation, construction staking and contract administration.
