Kalshi Inc. was dealt a blow in a Massachusetts state court on Tuesday.
Judge Christopher K. Barry-Smith sided with Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Campbell’s request for a preliminary injunction to stop Kalshi from doing anything “that constitutes sports wagering” under state law.
Massachusetts is the first state to sue prediction market Kalshi over its sports contracts.
