Marshfield manufacturer to add 70 jobs

Posted online
Marshfield-based manufacturer Architectural Components Group Inc. plans to add 70 jobs and make a $6.8 million capital investment in the local economy within five years.

Gov. Jay Nixon announced the investment alongside company representatives June 16 at the company's headquarters, according to a news release from the governor's office.

“The deeper investment and significant new job creation by this solid, homegrown Missouri company is solid news for the economy of Marshfield and Webster County,” Nixon said in the release. “While we know we still have a long road ahead, adding 70 new jobs to the local economy is an important step forward."

Architectural Components Group was authorized for an economic incentive package worth $382,702, which can be redeemed during the next five years. The company plans to expand operations and purchase new machinery and equipment, according to the release.

Architectural Components Group Inc. manufactures wooden wall and ceiling systems from an 83,000-square-foot facility in Marshfield at 521 George St. The company was founded in 2000 by its president, Gary Thompson, according to the company's Web site.
